Your models stay on your machine
Frames is a client-side tool. The 3D file you open is read by your browser and drawn by your graphics card. There is no upload step, so there is nothing for anyone to store.
What is not collected
- No 3D models, videos or images — they never leave the device.
- No accounts, emails or passwords; there is no sign-up.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What is stored, and where
Only in your own browser, and only to make the tool usable between visits:
| Saved layouts | Positions of the copies you arranged — browser localStorage |
|---|---|
| Camera poses A/B/C | Camera position, aim, lens and roll — browser localStorage |
| Panel state | Which panels you left open — browser localStorage |
| App cache | The page and its code, cached by a service worker for offline use |
Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it. None of it is transmitted.
Hosting logs
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and troubleshooting. That is handled by the hosting provider and applies to the page files, never to your model.
Exports
Videos and images are produced in the page and handed to your browser as a download. They go wherever your browser saves files. They are not sent anywhere.
Third parties
The tool bundles the three.js rendering library into its own code. No external analytics, fonts, CDNs or ad scripts are loaded, which means no third party sees your visit.
